When you work with me, I will focus on the following:

  • Adherence to a style guide of choice (e.g., the Chicago Manual of Style and/or book series style, if applicable)
  • Dialogue tags and punctuation
  • Fact-checking information and quotations
  • Formatting as needed (chapter names, headings, and subheadings; letter, word, line, and paragraph spacing)
  • Grammar, usage, punctuation, spelling, and syntax
  • Hyphenation, capitalization, and numbers
  • Tense usage
  • Tracked changes you can review, accept, or revise further

  • An extensive editorial report summarizing my feedback on my observations, inconsistencies that need fixing, and how to interact with your edited document

  • Email access to me throughout the project
